Everyday Stories - Home ... new this week, news & new stuff coming!

What a week so far.....and here I am at almost 3am writing out a newsletter for this week....can't sleep.  On the dang steroids again - altho I took the last dose hours ago, thank heavens.  That stuff just messes me up!  Plus....I got a double dose of immunotherapy on Tuesday - I had no idea they were giving me a dose of each this time.  I got tired enough with just ONE dosing, lol!   The cherry on top?   Low dose morphine.  Why?  To help with the shortness of breath problem.  Seems I had better get used to the shortness of breath as my "new normal" - it's not coming from the lungs, mostly my heart -but not in a 'heart attack' way.   If and when I figure out a great way to explain it, I will.   Anyway....let it be known that I don't do drugs.  Never have.  Rarely ever been sick in my life for that matter - but recreational drugs?  Nah.   And opiates scare the crap outta me.  Expecially morphine...because its what they put you on in your final days with cancer.  Scared?  ME?  oh yeah.   My doctor explained it tho - - and so we tried it.  7 mg every 6  hours.   Extremely low dosage compared to the usual 25-50mg commonly given.   So I took it.  and laid there in bed on Tuesday thinking, this isn't doing anything....ok.....but see, earlier the problem had been that walking even 6 feet on Tuesday made my heart pound SO hard......going to the bathroom left me breathless.   I got up an hour after taking the morphine dose....and , not even paying attention - walked to the bathroom and back......not out of breath at all?  Unbelieveable.    SO......yeah, now you can add morphine to my list.   It worked.  All that matters.    Long story short.....I'm very sleepy because of all this stuff - so doing the newsletter while I have a little awake time :)        This week I have a collection about Everyday Stories - Home.  There will be a couple collections in this series.....hope you like them!    It's on sale for 30% off in my shop at TDC of course...and I have clusters to share, too - beginning tonight with one from Chrissy to share.   Also - the minikit for the April Use It All challenge matches this sure to pick that up and play along!    The new template for April will be posted Saturday night.   Always something good going on!  Have a wonderful and blessed holiday weekend!  (Time for another nap!)

  1. Chrissy, this is beautiful, as always. I so enjoy seeing what you come up with to share. Kim, let your body rest, sleep when needed, it's part of the healing process. As always, thank you for the share.

  2. Thank you for this lovely freebie! It sounds like you have a great team of medical folks working with out. Sometimes it takes a bit of tinkering to get everything just right! All the best to you!

  3. Thank you Chrissy. I also love your layout with this cluster and the house border.
Glad your doctors are taking care of you Kim and trying everything possible to get you through this situation. Always wishing the best for you. Thanks for another fabulous collection.

  4. Your cheerfulness and positive attitude are so inspirational; I'm amazed that you can go through what you're going through and maintain that, not to even mention staying on top of all this scrapbooking stuff and continuing to be so creative! May these holy days bring extra blessings to you and your family!

  5. I just felt like giving you a cuddle after reading your post. So many whys and if only and more whys running around my head. My troubles seems so small and insignificant - my troubles ARE small and insignificant when I ready what you are going through. You are an amazing woman. May God be with you always
