What a week so far.....and here I am at almost 3am writing out a newsletter for this week....can't sleep. On the dang steroids again - altho I took the last dose hours ago, thank heavens. That stuff just messes me up! Plus....I got a double dose of immunotherapy on Tuesday - I had no idea they were giving me a dose of each this time. I got tired enough with just ONE dosing, lol! The cherry on top? Low dose morphine. Why? To help with the shortness of breath problem. Seems I had better get used to the shortness of breath as my "new normal" - it's not coming from the lungs, mostly my heart -but not in a 'heart attack' way. If and when I figure out a great way to explain it, I will. Anyway....let it be known that I don't do drugs. Never have. Rarely ever been sick in my life for that matter - but recreational drugs? Nah. And opiates scare the crap outta me. Expecially morphine...because its what they put you on in your final days with cancer. Scared? ME? oh yeah. My doctor explained it tho - - and so we tried it. 7 mg every 6 hours. Extremely low dosage compared to the usual 25-50mg commonly given. So I took it. and laid there in bed on Tuesday thinking, this isn't doing anything....ok.....but see, earlier the problem had been that walking even 6 feet on Tuesday made my heart pound SO hard......going to the bathroom left me breathless. I got up an hour after taking the morphine dose....and , not even paying attention - walked to the bathroom and back......not out of breath at all? Unbelieveable. SO......yeah, now you can add morphine to my list. It worked. All that matters. Long story short.....I'm very sleepy because of all this stuff - so doing the newsletter while I have a little awake time :) This week I have a collection about Everyday Stories - Home. There will be a couple collections in this series.....hope you like them!
