Well, took most of the day to do it, but we got Eric's Mom home safe and sound. Her PICC line acted up this morning - she had one for the IV antibiotics - and today for the first time I decided not to work right. After waiting for 2 hours...the doctor said she could have a shot instead. So we got her packed up after that, and headed on our way. The nursing home PROMISED that the prescriptions had already been faxed to our pharmacy....and we had a 230pm outpatient surgical appointment to have that pesky PICC line removed. The prescriptions had NOT been recieved by 130 pm - we left the nursing home at 1130 pm. So...I immediately called down there, getting the "gee, we sent those already" routine....but gee, they sent them again already - and they arrived that time! Problem was there were so many the pharmacy said to give them an hour. SO we decided to check into the hospital early instead, pick up the scripts later. That worked, and we got her home, in her apartment - she is happy and oh so tired out!!! Hopefully, that is the end of the constant running. We will have appointments to go to, etc....but she has an in home health aide 3x per week now and will have LifeLine installed on Monday. We will have breathing room :) Nice way to end the week - and it's been a long long LONG week, at that! Hope you all have a great weekend! Tonight I have a gorgeous cluster that Janet made with A Day at the Beach to share with you!
