Ended a beautiful weekend on a positive note - got up to Lacrosse this morning to find Eric's mom sitting up, alert and chipper as all get out - feeling good, looking good....and her tests are coming back with lowered levels....getting her back where she should be. She will still need 24/7 nursing care, and won't be leaving the hospital for a while yet...but will go directly to a nursing home "swing bed" upon discharge, as she will need IV antibiotics to conquer the blood infection she has. All in all - it was a good day, and we actually felt good about it all when we left. Now to just keep that up! The fun thing today was that she is on the sixth floor there....and that is where I was last October when I first was diagnosed with cancer. MaryDon (Eric's Mom) has the same primary care doc that I had when I was there...and who walks in to take care of her meds this morning? Katie, my very favorite nurse. We laughed and kinda cried a bit, and I got a big hug because I am doing so well. I told MaryDon that as long as she has ladies like these taking care of her, she can't lose :) Yep....a good day. So, tonight I have a gorgeous frame cluster that Jenni made with my new release Serenity to share with you. Hope you had a great weekend!
