Life's Journey, New this week!

A few weeks ago I discovered that a dear young friend of mine unexpectedly passed away.  I have since learned that she had 'Long QT' syndrome, an electrical problem within her heart.  Her name was Shannon, and she was 33 years young with a 7 year old son, Gavin.   Shannon's immediate family knew of her condition - but she didn't want others to know, fearing people might treat her with kid gloves.  She was probably right :)   Shannon was full of life and love, and lived each and everyday to the fullest.   I admired her spirit, and will miss her so very much!    This week's release, Life's Journey is a tribute to Shannon and her zest for life.   A trust fund for her little boy has been set up for his future education, and 100% off all sales from this collection will be given to Gavin's Trust.    The collection is a big one - and filled with wonderful things to scrap your Life's Journey with :)    It will be on sale for 30% off thru Sunday, August 18th at midnight :)

and a little inspiration!   I scrapped the top layout - it's my friend Shannon, and her son Gavin :)

I have some beautiful clusters to go with this...so stay tuned :)  -Kim

  1. I love looking at all the beautiful layouts. As I was taking it all in I realized what a gift its been. This self taught journey of learning to scarp. How we can take a photo, that might seem boring by most standards. But, you add that photo to a carefully and most importantly, lovingly crafted layout, and magic happens! This plain Jane photo becomes stunningly STORY worthy...

  2. So sorry that your young friend passed away leaving a little boy without his mother. It's great that his grandmother is stepping in to raise him. You have a generous heart to donate the sales for him! I'll be back home on Sunday to purchase the kit! Thank you for the NL freebie :) the papers are gorgeous as always!! Love your new kit!
