Happy Canada Day to my friend up north - and a gorgeous cluster from one of those Canadian friends to share!

Such a gorgeous day today - spent most of it outside weeding and then hooked up the new tank of gas to our gas grill.   Tonight, burgers - tomorrow a bacon wrapped pork tenderloin :)  For once Eric didnt' argue with me.  I've been waiting since late spring for the tank we had in there to run out....and last week when I started cooking some bacon wrapped pork loin chops, out it went.    I have wanted to do up a loin for a while now, and then a beer can chicken.   Eric never argues with me if I'm talking food from the grill.   Yes, we have a charcoal cooker too - but with all the humidity, and even tho the charcoal is kept in a plastic bin with a lid, it's still damp and doesn't want to burn right.  Not taking a chance on losing some awesome cuts of meat until it dries up - so gas grillin it is for a while :)  I'll just toss in some apple wood chips for flavoring :)  works for me!    Hope your weekend has been stellar so far, and Happy Canada Day to my friends to the north of me  - Anita is in Ontario - and hoping her day has been much like mine :)     Speaking of Anita, I have another gorgeous cluster to share tonight that she made with Beautiful Moments :)   I also have the new template for July to share here!

A Beautiful Moment frame cluster from Chrissy tonight!

It turned out to be a beautiful day after a 15 minute long absolute downpour this afternoon - one of those that if you tried to run from your car to the front door 20 ft away - you got soaked to the bone.   We were at Eric's mom's place to change her dressings (foot wound is almost healed!!!), and it started to get pretty dark outside, so Eric went out to roll up car windows.  The minute he went out the wind picked up for a minute...then the downpour just dumped.   He was soaking wet by the time he made it back - - but he was laughing about it.    I wanted to come home and weed some more, but it has to wait until tomorrow.  After driving down the highway that had the water evaporating from it right in front of our eyes (and it's kinda spooky to see that), we got home to find it was just plain too wet.   Ah well.   Made a batch of macaroni salad to go with a sandwich for supper tonight, and worked the afternoon away :)  Hope your Friday was a dandy, and that you have some awesome plans for the weekend!      Tonight I have  a wonderful frame cluster that Chrissy made with Beautiful Moments to share with you.  The collection remains on sale until Monday at midnight.  I'll be posting the July template for you tomorrow, too!

Beautiful Moments - new this week, and a gorgeous quick page from Anita!

What a week its been here in Wisconsin - we had a couple of gorgeous days with no rain - felt more like fall than the beginning of summer!   I got a ton done in the yard, and because it was so cool outside in the evenings, I made a huge pot of Albondigas soup (otherwise known as Mexican meatball soup) - one of Eric's favorites that I make.  I have an older recipe from one of those old "Mexican Cookbooks" from the '70's from Sunset books?   I keep that book for that particular recipe - altho I change it up quite a bit.    It's rich and yummolicious and warms you right up, that's for sure!  Anyway - it is supposed to rain and stay cool thru the weekend, darn it - so I'm kinda stuck inside again, unless the sun peeks out for an hour or two!   We are hoping that at least on the 4th it clears up so we can take our yearly trek up the hill behind us to the power station to watch the fireworks.   There is a little village called Eastman  down the highway, and they put on one heck of a fireworks show each year - and we can view them best at the top of the hill, and it's pretty much our own private area, lol - no one else comes there.    Whatever you do - if you are in the states - have a SAFE and wonderful weekend :)         This week I have a new collection called Beautiful Moments - for those special times that need remembering :)  As always it's filled with all sorts of goodies for scrapping - and on sale for 30% off until Monday at midnight.   I have some beautiful clusters to share too, beginning tonight with a gorgeous quick page from Anita :)

and a little inspiration!

Love those pages!
