Sorry for the no show...and two freebies!

Sorry for the no show last night....we didn't get home until late from Lacrosse.  Good news is...I'm doing great according to my doctor's.  I do have a CT next Tuesday to check on my chest - to make sure nothing is regrowing in that area...but my sodium levels are excellent....and the tumor that grew in my lung and will eventually come back alters sodium levels. So - so far so good.   We were there so late because Eric's Mom was acting strangely...and when I got over there, I knew something was wrong (me and my vast medical knowledge, lol - but hey..I was an advanced EMT for 20 years and working in a trauma ER for a long long time...so sometimes I do know what I'm talking about) - so I grabbed Eric and we went to see her nurse.   The doctor knew something was up, and wanted to be notified of any more episodes of erratic behavior.  What she was doing was talking in garbled sentences, or not finding a word she needed...or dropping sentences in the middle and changing the subject.   Her nurse immediately called it in (they hadn't witnessed this behavior as it was erratic)  and she was taken immediately to CT to scan her head, then ultra sound to check her carotid arteries....diagnosis - TIA's.  Mini strokes.   So now..she is in the neurology department...getting blood thinners and still getting her heart treated.  The good news is that her bowel obstruction corrected itself - thank God for that little miracle!  Still lots to work on...but today she is resting well, eating and....well..pooping :)  A good day for MaryDon!  We were just so wiped out after 12 hours at the hospital and 3 hours driving that we just had something to eat and went to bed.   I have TWO freebies for you tho!   Both from Anita - one is a gorgeous quick page she made with Scarborough Fair...and the other is the cluster from the quick page!     Posting early as it's new release night!  Enjoy!

When it rains.......

When it rains....  now it's Eric's mother that is ailing....she has a bad heart and diabetes to begin with....and found herself at the ER last night - with a bowel obstruction and found herself the proud owner of a new abnormal heartbeat.  They transferred her to Lacrosse (yep, same place I go to, and where Eric's father passed away in January) and were hoping that the obstruction would resolve itself, but have now scheduled her for surgery on Thursday.  This is NOT the best news as she is also overweight..and the combo of all her "bad things" do NOT make for a good scenario.  Honestly, it scares me!   We followed the ambulance to Lacrosse at 3am this morning...got home about 9am...up for 24 hours, and crashed until about 330 this afternoon.  It's been one heck of a "new year" so far for Eric and I...and we are beginning to wonder when the heck it will ever end!   I should be home at nights...and able to post updates and clusters, tho.   I have a check up in the morning, so we will check on her then.  That's the news from Kimeric Kamp tonight...and I also have a beautiful cluster from Chissy to share tonight - made with Scarborough Fair!  The collection is on sale until midnight tonight!  You can find it HERE.

A Scarborough Fair frame cluster to share with you tonight!

Another beautiful day....I did find some time to get outside and clean up a few spots....there is just not enough time in the day!   I had other things to do inside...but since it shouldn't rain for a bit, I think I'll be able to get back out there.  meanwhile - in the kitchen....pretty much everything is DONE :)  I need to get some photo's to share, tho...IF I can get Eric to break out his camera (I don't know how to use it, or I would..and we still don't use cellphones, lol!).  Hope your weekend was wonderful!    Tonight I have a fantastic frame cluster that Jenni made with Scarborough Fair to share with you!
